तरंगघर्षीत चबुतरा महाराष्ट्रामध्ये_________चा किनाऱ्यावर आढळतो.
महाराष्ट्राच्या कोकण किनारपट्टीवर रायगड जिल्ह्यातील हरिहरेश्वर (Harihareshwar) येथे समुद्राच्या लाटांच्या सततच्या खनन कार्यामुळे बेसाल्ट खडकामध्ये अत्यंत विस्तीर्ण आणि वैशिष्ट्यपूर्ण 'तरंगघर्षीत चबुतरा' (Wave-cut Platform) निर्माण झालेला पाहायला मिळतो. ओहोटीच्या वेळी हा खडकाळ चबुतरा पूर्णपणे उघडा पडतो.
हरिहरेश्वरला 'दक्षिण काशी' म्हणून ओळखले जाते. येथे काळभैरव आणि महादेवाची प्राचीन मंदिरे आहेत आणि या खडकाळ चबुतऱ्यावरून प्रदक्षिणा घातली जाते.
