Detailed Administrative Hierarchy & Cadre Classification:

• Revenue Administration Cadre Hierarchy:

  • Five of the listed posts belong strictly to the Revenue and Land Administration Hierarchy of Maharashtra:

    $$ ext{Talathi (Village level)}

    ightarrow ext{Circle Officer (Mandal level)}

    ightarrow ext{Naib Tahsildar}

    ightarrow ext{Tahsildar (Taluka level)}

    ightarrow ext{Deputy Collector (Sub-division level)}$$

  • All these five officials perform statutory land revenue, tenancy, and magisterial functions under the Maharashtra Land Revenue Code, 1966.

• Classification of Deputy Chief Executive Officer:

  • The Deputy Chief Executive Officer (Dy. CEO) belongs to the Panchayati Raj & Rural Development Department (Zilla Parishad administration), established under the Maharashtra Zilla Parishads and Panchayat Samitis Act, 1961.
  • Because it is a development/local self-government post rather than a core revenue cadre post, it is the distinct odd-one-out.

• Therefore, the position that does not belong to the group is Deputy Chief Executive Officer (Option 2).
