“खचदरी” या प्रमुख भूरूपाची निर्मिती ___________ होते
पृथ्वीच्या कवचात तणावाच्या हालचालींमुळे जेव्हा दोन समांतर तडे किंवा भ्रंश (Faults) पडतात आणि त्यांमधील मधला भूभाग खाली खचतो, तेव्हा 'खचदरी' (Rift Valley / Graben) निर्माण होते. ही प्रक्रिया भ्रंशामुळे (Faulting) घडून येते.
भारतात नर्मदा आणि तापी या नद्या खचदरीतून वाहतात.
जगातील सर्वात मोठी खचदरी 'ग्रेट रिफ्ट व्हॅली' (पूर्व आफ्रिका) असून ती सुमारे ६,००० किमी लांब आहे.
