महाराष्ट्रात नैऋत्य मोसमी वाऱ्यापासून मिळणाऱ्या पावसाची टक्केवारी खालीलपैकी किती आहे ?
महाराष्ट्रात पडणाऱ्या एकूण वार्षिक पर्जन्यापैकी सुमारे ८५% पाऊस हा जून ते सप्टेंबर या चार महिन्यांच्या काळात अरबी समुद्रावरून वाहणाऱ्या नैऋत्य मोसमी वाऱ्यांपासून (South-West Monsoon) मिळतो. उर्वरित सुमारे १५% पाऊस मान्सूनपूर्व वादळी पाऊस (मे) आणि परतीचा मान्सून (ऑक्टोबर-नोव्हेंबर) यांपासून मिळतो.
महाराष्ट्राची संपूर्ण कृषी अर्थव्यवस्था जून ते सप्टेंबर या काळात पडणाऱ्या नैऋत्य मोसमी पावसावर (८५% वाटा) अवलंबून असते.
Approximately 85% of the total annual precipitation in Maharashtra is supplied by the South-West Monsoon winds blowing from the Arabian Sea between June and September. The remaining ~15% is accounted for by pre-monsoon convective thunderstorms (May) and retreating monsoon depressions (October-November).
